My Fashionating Life

I am an assistant merchandiser for a retail company's e-commerce department. I have a BA in Fashion Merchandising from Cal State Long Beach.

Every second of my day I'm inspired by the art of fashion. Why people wear what they wear and the differences and similarities between ages, cultures and social groups amazes me. I am in love with fashion photography that invokes emotion, that makes you want to know more about what you see and make assumptions of the people and their train of thought in styling. One must pay close attention to Who the subject of the photograph is, What the model is wearing, and WHERE the photograph takes place. Sometimes it takes admiring and truly soaking in the background first that can make you appreciate the subject that much more. Attention to detail is key in fashion and its sometimes the almost seamless seams that are the star of the show. I'm passionate about passionate people, those who strive to be better, to learn everyday and dare to dream aloud. Those are most likely the people who create the fashion ads and editorials that stop me while I'm reading my magazines and make me want to rip the page out to keep forever.
